Nursery at St. Francis Girls High School, Secunderabad

St. Francis Girls High School, Secunderabad, added another feather to its cap by introducing a nursery section in 2023. Under the leadership of Headmistress Sr. Gracy and the guidance of Mrs. Padma Notani, the nursery program has successfully completed its first year, making a significant mark in early childhood education
The inaugural year began with 56 students, and the strength of the students gradually increased, reflecting the educational growth and following the school moto conquer through love.
The nursery follows an innovative activity-based teaching methodology, integrating audio-visual aids and practical classes to make learning enjoyable and effective for young minds.
More focus was given on how the child can learn to socialize, share with fellow students. Special emphasis is laid on developing foundational skills.

Writing strokes are introduced to enhance fine motor skills, while story narration and rhymes foster creativity and linguistic abilities. These activities are complemented by fun-filled celebrations, such as the vibrant Colours Day, where children came dressed in red and yellow. The event saw them narrate short stories, recite rhymes, and showcase energetic, feet-tapping performances, adding joy and vibrancy to the learning environment.The academic year culminated with the celebration of Nursery Day, which was marked by five group dances, individual narratives, and performances by the students, highlighting their growth and confidence. These events not only provided a platform for children to express themselves but also strengthened their social and communication skills. The nursery at St. Francis Girls High School is a testament to the school’s commitment to holistic education. With a focus on nurturing young talents and creating a joyful learning atmosphere, the program is set to grow further, continuing to lay strong foundations for the future of its students.
